Gas Pressure Reduction Skid

The FEGAS team, pictured, are celebrating FAT (sign-off) of a the gas pressure reduction system for installation in Young, NSW. The project was completed in a tight timeframe thanks to good planning and cooperation between Furnace Engineering, our client APA, and our trusted suppliers.

This project will allow injection of natural gas from APA's Victorian Transmission System through the new Young Pressure Reduction Station and interconnecting pipeline into the Moomba-Sydney Pipeline.

The heating package consists of twin boilers and hot water heat exchanger package to increases the gas temperature prior to pressure reduction to prevent hydrocarbon liquid or hydrate formation and to ensure the exiting gas is maintained above the minimum allowable temperature of the downstream pipework and components.
